We have a Sakae Sushi outlet very close to where we live, but we've only been in there once. Due to Max's pescatarian diet, we're a little restricted to the places in which we dine in as a family. So no Sakae Sushi because the choices for him are too few. We usually eat at home, especially for lunch.
Each time we pass it, Poppy points out that it's "The frog restaurant". So one day, as a surprise treat, I brought both girls there for lunch. The look on Poppy's face when we turned into the doors of the restaurant. The look on her face when she knelt up on the bench to watch the colourful plates of sushi go by. The smiles when I said "Yes you can take that plate down" (she'd pick up only the publicity plates). All that was well worth the $30 lunch.
All my I Heart Smiles posts will be consolidated on my I Heart Smiles page.
If you'd like to share how you make your kids smile, link up with me, won't you? Pictures of smiling kids optional though that'd be really nice. If your kids are shy, then please do include a picture of the thing that you do to make them smile :) It doesn't have to be a big thing, any little effort on your part (but it's got to be a conscious effort!) will do!
