I Heart Smiles, Day 22 - Just the Two of Us

 "Just the 2 of us" times are very special. We try to do it every Saturday morning. We go for breakfast together, just Poppy and I. We go to the neighnourhood kopi tiam and order the exact same thing we've been ordering for the past year or so. The folks there know our orders but we still place them anyway.

Milo is her drink of choice. Always

When it's just the two of us, Poppy is happy. Not that she isn't when Calla is around, but it's different somehow. She can just be Poppy, not Poppy the big sister. As a big sister myself, I can understand. Sometimes all you want to be is yourself. And these mornings together are just that for Poppy.

And to top it off, a trip to the playground :) Our favourite game of the moment is Fire and Ice. Well it's just chasey but when we're caught, we have to stay frozen for five counts and then we switch roles. It's an adaptation of what Poppy plays with the kids at the playground sometimes, when a kid gets caught and has to "die". I'm so not a fan of that!

She loves going down the twisty slide while I create a barrier for her. Then laughs like crazy when I pretend my fingers are ants and they're attacking her because she's so sweet :)
