So it was one of those days for me.
All I wanted to do was veg out on the sofa. Yes I'm entitled to one of those days. It says so in the home-based-mum manual on page 314. So I had to think of something to occupy Poppy without much involvement on my part (that too is on page 316, section 5.27. Go check it out). Preferably something quiet which wouldn't aggrevate the dull throb in my head.

According to my waitress, I placed an order for Fish and Chips, and apple buice, and a Poppy and a Calla :)
So I asked her to cook something for me. She really got into it so I left her at that while I brought Calla for the 425th attempt to nap. 425 must be my lucky number because I managed to put her down for a half-hour nap. My mood change was clearly visible. Even the ache between my shoulders seemed to have disappeared.
I became more fun to be around. Yippee.
I asked Poppy to take my order, like a waitress would. And she got so into it - she had a little notepad, and then we made a menu. When Max got home, she also greeted him at the door with "Welcome to Chocolate Cookie Baking Restaurant!" (that's what she chose to name her restaurant).

First, the little sister went grocery shopping but once she got introduced to the kitchen set, she was unstoppable

Little girl's first view of the kitchen at this level. She stood there for a pretty long time just moving stuff around
And when Calla got up, she also joined in the fun. And by that time, I was a happy mama again so we all had a good time dining at Chocolate Cookie Baking Restaurant.

2 kids playing together. I just melted into the sofa like a stoned starfish and watched, and smiled
Funny how 'one of those days' morphed into something so beautiful :)
