Cooked with Love

Poppy's lunch is usually a simple one dish meal for 2 reasons: 1, there is only one pot to wash and 2, it's quick and easy. But some days I launch into Happy Housewife mode and whip up a couple of dishes for her.

And my reward? The closed-eye thumbs up sign complete with "Mmm mm!" verbal affirmation from my 4 year old :)

Woooo yummy

I steamed some threadfin with silken tofu, and meat with egg, and did a quick broccoli stir fry. Did I mention that this was an impromptu decision? We only got the ingredients from the supermarket earlier in the morning and everything was prepared in less than half an hour. But my favourite part?

Leaving the meat dish in the rice cooker when I went to pick Poppy from the school bus. Old school to the max :)
