Money Woes No More

Being in a single-full-income-plus-one-semi-contributing-but-sometimes-not-really-contributing-income family is challenging. But I've always been frank with Poppy about our financial situation. Not that she knows how much we have in our banks (not much), but I tell her that there are some things we can't buy because only Papa earns some money because he works and Mama doesn't because she's chosen to stay home to care for the girls (but she REALLY does miss having a salary).

So sometimes there are situations like this:

She's sweet, Poppy. She understands. She often asks me things like "Mama, how much is it? Is it very expensive? Is it on sale? Can we buy it?"

But one day, this happened:

Yay. Fare thee well, money woes! Seems like I'm going to be a street busker soon. Feel free to donate generously.

  1. Haha... Your girl is cute! But at least she helps you to find a solution to your financial woes... which i think is wonderful!

  2. Haha, she's so cute! Tell me your venue, you bet I will head over to give Poppy a Huge donation (even though I am not earning too, tsk tsk). But for her wit and filial piety, I will go dig my piggybank. =)

  3. Aww.. she's such a sweetheart! When I tell my girl that I don't have enough to buy her things, she will reply "No Money No Honey mommy? It's ok, another time!" I think the biggest comfort as a mom will be the thoughtful considerate trait of our kids.. They seem to understand yet they don't understand. So proud of Poppy =) she's a sweetheart!
